We are Timothy and Summer, the parents behind the family suitcase. We met over 12 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Together we love all things creative from art to music and history. We believe strongly in education and real-world experience for our children. Currently I work as a MH and Lifeskills Education Assistant and Tim works as a freelance composer. I graduated with my Masters in Journalism and Timothy is just about done with his degree in Audio Engineering and Production. With two sets of twins and work and school you can imagine our schedule. But hand in hand and hearts on our sleeves we manage to make it work. This blog will showcase our honest truths through triumphs and struggles and feature how we make it work, or at least try to. Follow our journey into getting there, no matter where there may be.

Then it's time to meet the little monsters of our clan. Two sets of twins filled with strong wills, creativity, and hell of a lot of personality.

Our first surprise set is Thorin and Arwen, BOY/GIRL twins that can fight like cats and dogs one minute and be inseparable the next.

This handsome little man is our oldest child, by an hour and twenty minutes, and our only boy. He is strong and adventurous with a heart of pure gold. He loves deeply and fiercely.

Thorin's favorite things are superheroes, comic books, and art. He has also has a passion for classic horror and monsters (he gets it from his father). Everything from special effects to movie makeup interests him, and he wants to know all the ins and outs of what it takes to make the movies come to life. He moves at 90 miles an hour from sun up to sun down and only stops occasionally for a bite to eat.

This red-haired beauty is our Ginger Sass. She’s spunk and whimsy and everything in between. Arwen loves all things princess and glitter and her style can never be too loud, especially with her added wicked sense of humor. She calls herself a more "Gothy Disney Princess" with rhinestones bedazzling her skulls and crossbones.

Confidence exudes from every single one of her pores. She is strong and independent and has this wonderful ability to win the hearts of all around her. She is a Cerebral Palsy warrior who has faced surgery, casting, and now her newest journey, AFO's. Often, we are working with her on her sass and striving to teach her to warm the world with her fire, not burn it to the ground.

Then there are our youngest and our second set of twins, Adda and Aela. They are polar opposites in everything they do, both looks and personality.

This little girl is Adda. She is a fighter through and through. Each day she sees challenges and works to face them head-on with little to no fear. She loves music, reading, and mathematics and simply cannot wait to start school.

She's is active and adventurous and tough as nails, while also being extremely sensitive and empathic. Adda is definitely our little empath and finds that her biggest passions lie with animals and people. She constantly wants to be the healer of the family and takes pride in her abilities to make others smile.

Then finally there is the baby of the family; our little Aela Bear. Aela is a package of style and cuteness, like a fashionable teddy bear. She's the shyest of our kiddos and prefers to watch the world with quiet observance before diving into things head first. She's the type to dip her toes into the water and waits for her body to get used to the cold.

Once she gets comfortable, though, she's impossible to quiet down. She may have more sass than her redheaded sister, and a real knack for asking inappropriate questions. She's a princess through and through and has no problem making it known to the world around her.
